I am considering a 2" suspension lift for my TJ. So far the research has led me to the Old Man Emu kit. My budget for this is around £700.
Just wondered if any of you could recommend anything else worth considering?
I would be grateful for any advice offered.

Hi.
What has lead you to the OME kit? There are loads of different ones out there, it depends on what you want the kit to do.
-
The OME won't disappoint you, better than stock ride, better articulation, 31s clear no problem, probably the best around.

I have been told that the OMU is a simple bolt off, bolt on operation with no other mods needed.
I want the lift kit for 2 reasons, one improve the look and allow for larger wheels and tyres and two, improve ground clearence offroad. I live in Scotland so off roading is plentiful.

I know folks who use the OME kits and are pleased with the ride and articulation, but there are others worth considering aswell. There are a few of us who have 2" Teraflex kits (me included) these are simple to fit, IMHO great articulation and allow up to 32" tyres. Teraflex also give quite a firm ride.
Skyjacker are worth considering too.
I'd also give a thought to ordering from the states. 4wd.com do the OME kit for $699.95 and Teraflex for $459.99 plus shocks. Much more for your money.

I've got a feeling that there'll be a few more meets in Scotland now that there's a few of us in Birty's.

That would be great, some moral support before I tackle some of my planned mods would cheer me up no end!!!!
