Title: NP231 transfer case

Hi I have a 1998 Jeep TJ 4ltr Manual with a broken transfer case, can anybody tell me if the transfer case from a auto or a 2ltr TJ YJ or Cherokee will fit? I just need the case, the internals I can change over from my old one, any help would be great.

Most of the guts are the same it's just the output shafts that differ between 2.5 and 4.0 litre engines with a different spline count. Input might be different for autos.

Thanks so if I change over my insides and just use the case, are they the same.

Case will be the same.....
