hello all, does anyone know what size these wheels and tyres might be?
Its a image from Reworks Jeeps but they have shut down now so cant ask them!
-
another

I think...... 33x12.50x15
35s take a bit of a,squeeze under CJ arches......
Just looked on T Interweb of Kuhmo tyres and seems sizes in 15" are 31x10.50 32x11.50. And
33x12.50.
Then there's a jump to 18"????? Rims and 38" tyres which ain't those in the pics :icon_super:

x2 on why Jez says, 33s are slightly larger than the rear wheel arch opening, which they look like, but don't look enough to be 35s
-
:imwitstupid: :003: 33s
-
Thx all , so what width and offset are the wheels go with the 33s? Thx again
-
15 x 8, std backspacing of about 3.5 to 4 ".
-
Many thanks, dont suppose any one has this size of wheel and tyre on their cj7?

I have 33×12.5x15 on a 10" rim on mine. 8" is a bit narrow for 12.5 profile in my opinion
-
I've had both 33x12.5 and 35x12.5 on similar wheels to them on mine without any problems, 8 inch is the narrowest wheel for a 12.5 wide tyre you'd want to use. If it's a narrow track CJ you'll need wheel spacers or wheels with more offset.
What you will encounter is issues related to the tyres rubbing the leaf springs in the end, which is easily solved by adjusting the steering stops but you can end up with poor steering lock.
I've recently moved to 255/85 16s which gives a height close to a 35 but much narrower, so now I have height and steering lock, although it does look a bit weedy after the 35s, can't have it all ways I suppose.
Hope this helps

Or you could go 17" rims and go 315 which is also 34.5" but narrow so no loss of turning circle.
or the same as a BFG 35x12.50x15 in height
Had these on my H2 hummer wheels before I got 'larger' rubber :icon_biggrin:

31x10.5x15 tyres on a narrow track reduces the steering lock enough to make it a pain, especially here in kernow trying to get through the narrow roads in villages.
anything wider than 10.5 ideally requires wheel spacers to give decent steering lock. plus bigg the diameter the more space required above the wheel so suspension lift and or body lift maybe requried
-
If you can get them .....there are a us spec tyre...
34 x9.50x15 maybe 16? Super Swampers
Gives a good vintage look to a narrow track and allows a steering lock. Tyres are epic in the mud too. :icon_super:

I have 5 x Futura Enforcer M/T 31 x 10.5 R15 on CJ chrome rims sitting in my courtyard not doing anything.
When I aquired WillCJ's Kumho M/T's i thought I'd keep them as a spare set but now pretty surplus to requirements.
Pics on here somewhere, I'll have a look.

33" need re-gear...... Just so you can get your ducks in a row!!
-
And the deepest you can go is 4.88 which you need on 31s in an ideal world.......
Be OK in low,box off road though......just......
Might have got that wrong!!!! The 4.88??? Certainly applies to dana30 and dana35 rear.....
Not sure about Dana 30 on CJ but would expect the same.......so whatever rear axle you have you are restricted by the limitations of the front......
