does any of my learn-ed cohorts know the size of the hexagonal diff side bearing adjusters

i have 36mm in mind but that might be too big.

or just use a hammer and screwdrive like most non mechanics who think they know what they are doing

quick search on google implies a size of 36mm

off hand cant remember  my spanners go up to 41mm then its adjustable time

Yep def 36mm. I welded a front hub nut to a length of tube to adjust them when doing diff work.
