Title: Angry Birds
Post by: General Confusion on August 04, 2016, 07:38:14 PM
Can anyone tell me if the front propshaft on a TJ has a double cardin joint the same as an XJ?

I think I have a dose of Angry Sparrows, the same as I had on my old XJ. Loud chirping when you take your foot off the gas in gear. If you just let it coast with the clutch dipped it stops. Also stops when you accelerate.

take it off get it on the floor and rotate the cardan joint if you look close you will notice a centre cup covered with a rubber boot if you gently peel that up and can pump grease inside [needle greaser is best ] that will lubricate the the centre ball where the noise noise comes from

but if the post it sits on is fecked its a new shaft  grease the ujs as well if they have the nipple
