Title: Those Mitsubishi CJ3B Jeep J53 Things

does anyone here know anything about these Mitsubishi Jeep J53S?

what gearbox do they have?
Is it the same as the Kia unit in Mahindra?
If so can we fit a variety of better Mitsubishi Diesel engines from a Pajero to a Mindy?

What had the 2.7 Mitsubishi Diesel engine around that time?   If faced with only Google and nowhere else to look?. That's where I would start.

find us all using it more than the CJ7 - can fit 6 people (mostly children) 2 x fishing rods on my bespoke carrier and 4x bicycles on tow bar carrier
