Hopefully a fairly simple one - looking for the Birty's wisdom to guide me
I have a weeping rear axle seal on the YJ and it has a Dynatrac Dana 60 semi-float 35 spline axle.
I want a replacement bearing and seal kit and would like to order from Rockauto or maybe somewhere over here like USAutomotive rather than getting bent over by Dynatrac and having to deal with their 'don't know if we can ship to the UK / it will be $200 shipping Sir'
Does anyone know what vehicle I could search under to find the right part?
Or do I need to strip it down and find a bearing number?
-
Email Dynatrac for the number would be my first port of call.
Or an anorak session on the Interweb or a post on Pirate! :icon_super:

Maybe this will help. Pulled from Wikipedia...

Answer from Dynatrac - Timken SET20 bearing and seal kit. Off to search for one in the UK but probably end up ordering from the states

As you know James, Any good bearing stockist will have the bearing but you'd need the number, the seal will be harder to source tho..

on rock auto £18.96

Thanks all, just ordered from Rockauto with a new pinion seal and brake master cylinder. I'll try and remember to get numbers off the packaging and bearing so I can potentially source locally next time (and maybe cheaper)
