Can anyone tell me what this part is please?
It's at the rear of the 2.5TD engine, and looks like it spins with the engine. It feels loose, so need to know what it is, so I can see if I can fix it.
It's the thing with the holes in it ( you can just about make out my finger pointing to it)

Any ideas?

I forgot to mention that these pictures are taken from underneath the vehicle, looking up a the back of the engine.

Some more photos that may make it easier (but may not)

Going to guess at the drive from back of pas pump or vacuum pump to aircon compressor. Bit as I've never had then misfortune to look at a 2.5 diesel xj I can't be sure.

Cup A/C Drive is the description. These may help.
-
Yep, thats your cup on the A/C compressor. If you dont need aircon, you can just disconnect that double T bar shaft.

Awesome as always chaps, thanks for your input.
