Title: WJ 2.7 CRD Engine Oil Capacity

I have a 2003 Grande Cherokee 2.7 CRD and the owners manual (and several other online sources) give an engine oil capacity of 6.5 litres. I've found it takes around 8.5 litres to get the level to the mark on the dipstick. The Mercedes Sprinter has a capacity of 8.9 litres but I seem to remember reading somewhere that the original Grand Cherokee dipsticks were marked wrongly, is this true?

6.5 or 8.5 litres?
