I was going to say that, but I find it is more of a screeching noise than a beep beep.
I was wondering how to do that myself, but rather than disabling the sounder completely still have lights on warning etc.
I will watch this space to find out.

The bleeper on 97 on Jeeps except ZJ is part of the instrument cluster, which contains logic controls for stuff such as rear screen heater, interior light delay etc. The easiest thing to do is remove the cluster and stick a bit of gaffer tape over the sounder, otherwise you could try unsoldering it from the pcb, but I can't say if it will have an effect on the way everything else works.

do you mean the bleeping when you leave the door open with the keys in the ignition?
If so I have managed to stop mine by finding the fuse that controls it (and the footwell lights) and splicing a switch into the circuit.
