Hi there,
Just joined the forum and wondered if anyone can help, I've got running issues with my 2004 2.8 crd.
It starts no problem but after about 15 minutes stops, it will then start again after about 15-20 minutes.
It was sucking air into the fuel line and had to constantly bleed the system to get it going, so renewed fuel filter and seals and it made it better but didn't stop it altogether.
The next step was to put inline pump before filter which worked until last week it now just runs for 15 minutes and stops either under load or just tick over, it would appear that I now have electric problem with it but nothing is showing on diagnostics and fuel filter is full of fuel and no air.
Any clues would be much appreciated, thought of crank sensor, air mass sensor, fuel rail pressure sensor
When it runs its a great car but at the moment its a pain.
Cheers

is the vent clear for the fuel tank, so air can get in, as fuel goes out, I had the same problems on a car before, just an idea.

Cheers, I'll check that while I'm looking at other bits

Real easy way to check the vent idea...remove the cap, stuff a clean rag in the hole, close the flap and go for a drive. The rag is only there to stop fuel slopping out, but it allows air in.

I've had this, it was the crank sensor
