Looking at my discos last night, the diameter of the bolt at the top end of the disco is 10mm, the anti-roll bar link it replaces is 12mm so it's going to move a bit. Anyone else had this problem and is it really a problem?!
-
I seem to remember refittting the big dished washers that came off the original link when I fitted mine. They centre everything up and I've never had any problems.
-
Aye, the hole is actually 14mm, the bushes on the original link take it down to 12mm. Still a 2mm gap though.
Was that on an xj chris??
-
Yup. a '99
-
thanks for the advice guys

Fitted the discos last night (after a beer or two :o )
Seem to fit just fine once i'd tightened em up - thanks for the good advice

take some duck tape with you just incase
-
why??

dont know. might come in handy for something, like taping all the bits together when/if they fall off..
how you doin anyway. you been out playin ??
mine is off off road in the garage just now.

Nope, not been out at all. Jeep was in the garage for nearly a week getting a few things done (service, snorkel, MOT, tracking adjusted etc) but got her back now.
There's a BORDC competition on at Fetteresso this weekend so I might have a crack at that
