Is there to be a July pub meet?

I have to come to this one because I will NEED to pick up my lift shackles.

I actually quite like The Old House At Home but i do agree food would be good, we could always phone in advance to see if the kitchen is open unless there was somewhere else you had in mind Peter?

After all House At Home do have one of our flags behind the bar, it's only fair we show our appreciation once a month

The Old House at Home have been good to us.  We're always made very welcome and the food's good when it's available.  On the first occasion when there was no food, the guy got the pizza menue from the take away down the road, and there's a chippy just round the corner.  As I remember most of the people who wanted to eat, never ordered a pizza, so if you went hungry you only had yourselves to blame AND it only takes a quick phone call to check if they're serving!

I do like the Old House At Home, Simon's as accomodating as you could ever ask for and it's in a centralish location for the majority.

What other suggestions have folks got?

I use the the old house at home apart from the meets, Simon has told me that the kitchens will be open for our next meet.

Good friendly pub, he flies the flag, makes us feel welcome and supports the secondry car park meeting.

i like the old house at home i must say. there is space in the carpark and it is quite cheap. the holt fleet was ok but not as personal as the old house.

hoping to make it over to coney green in july, hopefully have the winch up and running by then!!

lets move it back by one week as there is so many  members comited to other  ventures some will be camping at wagtail ally may be in hospital so maybe we should just move it back one week and combine it as a commitee meeting whith a slightly earlyer start say seven we have a whole week to  think about it

Good idea, if everyone else is in agreement.

Certainly saves a few of us driving over from Wagtail on Saturday evening, which with all the Jack going round, probably wouldn't be too hot an idea!

Sounds like a plan, the week after is the steam rally at Ribbo so those who want to put on a show for Pat and Steve will be close to the Old House at Home anyway.

If the committee meeting is taking place at the pub meet, I am still prepared to help out, eg with printing, as per last year, such as the entry plates.  I also have accumulated a few items suitable for the raffle.  If you think I can help in other ways, please don't hesitate to ask.

If people could e-mail me some hi-res quality photos of events, I will begin work on next years callendar, and hopefully have some printed by Cheapfest.  If there are enough of us prepared to man a stall, we could have a club stall, selling merchandise, old 4x4 mags, etc.

Assuming the Cheapfest website will remain active after the event (perhaps upated with photos and reports), I can make some www.cheapfest.co.uk (http://www.cheapfest.co.uk) stickers.

IMPORTANT NOTICE.

It would appear that the guys over at Ribbo are having such a great time (drinking!) that they suggest the pub meet be held there.

Was a pub meet with a difference. Had a great night at the steam rally, a drink , live bands and a fire work display. :lol:

Didnt get the message till late so went to the pub first for food with Freddie and WB.. (and junior)

A great meet, nice to catch up with everyone again...
