Hope someone can help.
Just bought a 98 zj orvis grand cherokee, with the all too familiar rear dif whine.
Amazon have a delay of 3 weeks before I get the haynes manual, so hoping some kind person could talk me through changing the dif oil, front and back.
It is quadra trac so I am aware that I will need friction modifier in the rear dif......What about the front?
There is no grinding and all else is fine, love the vehicle......just sounds like it is about to take off between 30 and 60mph!!!
Thanks in advance,

hi mate
with both diffs you will have to take out all the 13mm bolts holding the covers on. Take covers off, clean up the faces get rid of all the old sealant! Oil will now spew out so make sure you got summat to catch it in!!

If you have a word with Stew he has the manual on disk, if you ask him nicely he might do you a copy!

Had mine for almost two years now and it's whined since I've had it, never been a problem though, just turn the music up :)
