Title: Dizzy sensor on a 98 XJ

What is it, 'cause it just broke and the jeep doesnt start any more, cant find a picture on my 99 FSM, anyone got an FSM for 97/98??

is that where that lives? (its not in the 99 FSM)
Looks like a halls effect sensor so could be, does anyone know a link to an FSM I can download??

I believe that one should talk to Mr Fine, he has one on cd, just dont ask for a copy........ :wink:

I too assume you mean the cam position sensor......????

Well it runs now, whole story is that I jetwashed the engine and it wouldn't start, so diconnected the ignition stuff and set about them with the WD40, but this one fell off (look I had 3 wheatabix for breakey ok!), it was dark so couldn't see.
Just took a photo and it looks like the oil pressure sensor to me now.

What section in the FSM does the oil pressure sender come under!! :evil:

halls effect?
now i'm confused.............
so you have snapped the oil pressure sender.....right?

well the inside of the sensor actually looks like a halls sensor. There is no oil coming out of the bit left in the block. Just ripped the boken bit apart and it seems to be a push type switch sealed in plastic.
