Ok anyone using these, I have fitted mine, which way did you run the armoured wires from the back of the Daylighters (if your using them).
Did you drill a hole through the front or side of the windscreen surround to feed the cables through.
-
i don't have it on my wrangler but have seen it fitted to another....the wires went through the "a" post to the n/s you could see them from the inside just above the glove box side of the dash.

Remove the panel in front of the windscreen after taking the wiper arms off
2 of the screws are under the bonnet Run the wiring up into the recess and carefully route it round the panel when you put it back on
-
Wow Stew... I am impressed ny your technical knowlege...
ETJ, I take it you do mean the ones that attach to the hinges at the bottom of the windscreen rather than a lightbar type thing above the windscreen... If so, Stew is spot on.... remove the panel and carefully run the wires up the side.

I have the KC lights with the armoured cabe though.
Is it easier to drill a hole in the surround or is threading a better idea????
-
Personally, I prefer threading...

so the panel at the bottom of the window will lift off if I take the screws and wipers off.??????????
-
Take all the screws you can see out, and the wipers unclip adn lift off..
Then open the bonnet and remove the rubber strip at the back. there are 2 or 4 screws behind the rubber you also need to undo before you can lift it off....
Then you have a lovely void where you can join cables etc etc .. I had the relay behind the passenger headlight, then ran the feed up the edge of the battery and into the void. I made a cut in the foam under the panel so that the wire fitted in nicely. The wire up to the lights themselves came out through the upper corner of the panel and made the panel sit slightly proud, but still looks okay IMHO.
Let me know if you want some more Pics. (The fourth one on that link shows the far light quite well... if you click into the pic a second time, it's HUGE and will give you a clearer view.

Hmm, I will give that a try tomorrow, see you also have the Tough Stuff hood rack, fitted mine last night and may mod it a bit tomorrow so as I can lock my hilift on. Also going to fit by big F*** O** Daylighters tomorrow......................let there be light.
-
Ahh, you see, that rack will be for my waffles.... Just need a few more bolts to suppert / strengthen it and make the tope bolts longer... Hilift mount is going on the back like someone elses (Sorry, I forgot who gave me the idea now - Chris ??) on the tyre carrier.
Was hoping to get the new flares on today, but it's not going to happen now.... will have to wait till I get back from Hols.

Ed's instructions were a lot more expertly put than mine...(I wonder why  ) but they are spot on
Getting the panel off is a doddle as is fitting the brackets
-
Did the brackets last night when I did the bonnet mount, they were easy. Just got the lights to do tomorrow, might get the light kit for the mount aswell.
-
FWIW My lights were relocated..auto electrician drilled a hole in the bulk head near the earth strap to get the wiring through
-
Ok, got me lights and my Hilift mount on the jeep today.

If you don't mind me asking, what make are those sill guards/sliders and where did you get them?
-
Made them myself.
-
Do you fancy making some for a CJ? Is this something you would be interested in?
-
Dont have a cj that I can measure up and make templates from.
-
Thanks anyway. Anyone else?
-
What about Phat Phux Construction?
