Help please
trying to locate PCM on 2000 Grand Cherokee, new shape.
-
Just looked thru the official DC service manual for a 2000WJ and buggered if I can find where it is. One for Dr Mike methinks.
-
Passanger side bulkhead under the hood with three big multi plugs.
-
Is PCM yanky for ECU, what does it stand for?

Powertrain Control Module.
Because it controls not only the running of the engine, but stuff such as charging, A/C compressor, fans, cruise control etc.

Thanks for the help
Hoping that refurbing/cleaning connection will eradicate some running problems i encounter. Dealer recommended changing PCM but post on Jeeps Unlimited had some sound advice.
So far have spent £500 on o2 sensors and failed analisis by main dealers.
Still a great jeep!

Soz lad you might have been ripped off...

Actual 4 diagnostic checks and 2 no o2 sensors
Tried 3 main dealers so far.
Hoping DIY and help from forums will be better value.

You're better off persisting at one place. If you keep taking it to different places you'll keep getting charged for the same work over and over again.
