Took the Tj out at the weekend and although there is not a lot of meat on the tyres there width was too wide and i was struggling on the brown stuff whereas some lardys were tootling about with ease on thier skinnier tyres.
I have 35x12,5x15 BFG MT's at the moment but for the mud I think I would be better off with 35x9.5x15...can i find any at this size..no I cannot ..
Does anyone know of any mud tyres made in this width, if not I will be getting a set of simex at 10.5!!
cheers

Sod Simex, get Boggers.

Never heard of such a size, they used to make a 33X9.50 but in a 35 I think you'll be limited to a 10.50. They make swampers in that size!!

You can get the Super Swamper TSL SSR in 34/9.5/15

OR Boggers in 35/10.5/15

Sorry about the size of the pics, but they do need to be BIG!

BFG do 33x10.50x15 in MT

Before you go to all the expense of a narrower tyre consider 2 things:
1. Have you tried airing down, even dropping the tyre pressure to 12psi made a difference with the BFG MTs 33x12.5x15 I run.
2. If you have a narrower tyre you may lose some of the stability that the wider track of the 12.5s give, although changing the back spacing of the wheels can regain that.
