Title: 96 XJ TD brakes HEEEEEEELLLLLLLP
Post by: barttheguinnessguy on October 18, 2006, 09:17:04 PM
A bit of a long shot, but here goes.
Does anyone know the Ferodo part number for the rear shoes on a 96 2.5 TD XJ with ABS? Two suppliers have now sold me the wrong uns. I think it must be because it is a late ’96 (registered in December) so is just pre facelift. Could it have slightly later rear brakes? Short of leaving the thing on axle stands and takin the offending ones into the supplier I don’t know what else to do (short of takin it to the stealership or settin fire to it!).

There are only 2 types of rear shoe for a '96 XJ. 10" and 9" If yours is a UK spec RHD It will only be the 9" as that was the only one available for any model year.
Phone Lighthouse, they'll send you the right ones.
