Title: CJ Starter motor swop

Can I put a early type starter motor from a CJ6 onto a '84 CJ7
I've looked in all the manuals I've got and got nowhere.

as long as its got the amc 6cylinder in the cj 6 yup its simple swap[you did not say the year]
