Does any one here no what the running temp should be on a 1994 4ltr cherokee? Mine sits at 100, rising to about 110 if left standing, with a small amount of coolant coming from the expansion bottle, which i presume i have overfilled. i got the jeep recently, with the previous owner repoerting overheating, which when i checked the cap on the radiator had disentigrated!!!! I replaced this and now it seems fine. Just wondered where the temp normally sits.
Cheers

It should hover around 100, if it can't maintain this at idle, check the viscous fan coupling is working and if it is, give the cooling system a thorough flush out.

thats along the lines i was thinking, i flushed the system through originally to check the water pump. The coupling appeared to operate correctly to start with, but then when hot seemed to start failing, prob weak clutch?
cheers for the reply, jon
