youve got a good one there, might be a problem with the abs pump as a guess (could be wrong)

Sounds like the ABS kicking in prematureley. Try pulling the ABS relay out (the light will come on) and see if it still happens.

hi

i will try pulling the relay out tommorow if i slam the brakes on hard everything works as it should none of the wheels lock up i have tryed a test that i found in one of my manuals it says to start the engine bring the revs up to 1500 then let it tick over and press the brake pedal down all the way then slowly release it turn the engine off and get a mate to remove the vacum pipe off the air servo and if the pedal moves backwards then change the air servo unit and my pedal moves back thank you for your help and please keep the suggetions coming
thanks glyn

I have to aggree with the other replies here. It does sound very much like an ABS pump or sensor fault :?

Sounds like one of your wheel speed sensors is U/S causing the ABS to get confused. Look in the FSM for test procedures.
