Title: Coil spring spacers.

Hi,     just picked up my spacers from my mate's,  he's turned them out of a solid  piece of nylon i bought at the rufforth auto jumble £ 4.50.  I was going to buy aluminium but thought hey  nylon would be better,  plus the nylon was way cheaper. He's made a nice job i'll try and post some pic's.  maybe fit them tomorrow.......cya

i assume your still using the std rubber isolator normally located on the top of the spring. If not it could get a bit clunky and noisy, as the road noise from the tyre will be ransmitted into the car body through it

     Pete i had a word with the guy  he told me it was industrial grade nylon and could be machined and very durable,  he deals in this and other types of material and could get me any grade i wanted. the piece i bought was a off cut just the right diameter, he had various shapes and sizes and grades .  the name on the card is aeroquip. goodridge.& earls. performance products stockist.      

Dave,  yes i will be refitting the isolator as you suggested i was going to have a go today but it's pissing it down,  tried to upload pics in to album but said image to big! :(

Hi,

 fitted spacers today  looks good and feels alot better driving, as i was riding round with just the rear lift,  every thing went ok apart from the spacers needed abit more machining i made the spacers as per the drawing on http://perso.wanadoo.fr/fabien.chabanne ... e-plan.htm (http://perso.wanadoo.fr/fabien.chabanne/technique/technique-rehausse-plan.htm)  but  they would not fit snug up to the top of the bump stop, the top inside dia needs to be chamfered to fit perfect, ( no play. rocking)  after this was done they fitted like a well worn sea boot ,    my friend has taken some pic's on his mobile  post them later.
