Cant find any sign of a switch on mine ........and that leather is bloody cold in the mornings

Don't think the XJ's came with heated seats just the Grands.
But to solve use a blanket on or hot water bottle...............

Stop moaning, you should try a soft top CJ with factory install crap heater!

No heated leather unfortunately. My old WJ did. I use sheepskin covers on the leather seats in me Ranger - comfy!
If you want heat, you could get some of these (http://http://www.woolworths.co.uk/ww_p2/product/index.jhtml?pid=50707631) heated seat covers for a tenner from Woolies.

i had a 96' diesel with all the goodies but no heated leather seats unless you got a car that had some swapped from a GC

Oh well no heated seats

I think the late model Orvis XJ had heated seats??

My KJ has heated seats, but when I saw the HIGH/LOW button at the side I thought it was for electric seat adjustment.
I hammered away at it and thought it was broken - then suddenly my arse was burning off!
