Title: 96 XJ radio fuse

OK, silly question. WHERE ON EARTH IS IT?

I know iv'e blown the fuse (i was installing a new radio)

It also supplies the clock and the fag lighter.

I cant find it anywhere.

I have checked the fuse box by the battery and the one above the accelerator pedal, and it ain't in either

Its a 96 XJ 2.5 TD

there should be one in the pannel above the pedal box. but if it aint blown maybe there is one inline somewhere.

i was just thinking about the same thing as the fag lighter and clock have stopped working, cant find a blown fuse above the pedal box so i kind of gave up looking as i don't smoke and the radio has a clock built in

I had the same thing happen to me.  Drove from Brum to Pompey late at night with no tunes :x   I am 95% sure it was a fuse in the fuse box above the pedals.  Have you checked the fuses with a multimeter, sometimes they look good but are gone.
