Jeep is due for a service soon, and was wondering what you would recommend be done? Jeep quoted £500 for the full service (yikees!), so I’m going to attempt to do it my self (with some help).
It’s a 1994 XJ due for a 90,000 mile service. It has previous service history, but I would rather be overcautious to be safe (was last done by the garage from where it was bought from).
Again, any help would be much appreciate.

Plugs, wires, cap+rotor, air filter, oil change, lube all the nipps, change diff oil with fresh and add new additive, don't change the tranny fluid if it's an auto unless you know it's been changed before. Change tranny oil (stick), transer case oil and replace coolant mix. Think thats about it. Theres nothing to adjust on the engine/gearbox.
Give her a good cleaning/going over, check the brakes, shocks, steering linkages etc, for wear.

£500 to do all this now wonder they have nice big fancy show rooms and the md swan round in a top of the line car.
you could swap the fuel filter if you know it hasn't been done before as for the belts a visual inspection will do. if it shows cracks or wear replace it
if you decide to do it yourself drain the oils first and leave them draining into a container while you sort out the electrics and filters, then when you have finished those the oils would ave full drained and ready for new oil to be put in

Oh ya, new there was something I was forgetting. Check the belt for cracks or glazing. May want to replace and stick the current one under the rear seat as a spare.
I wouldn't worry about the filter until it acts up.
