Title: Grand Cherokee Problems?
Post by: prophead on April 29, 2005, 02:42:51 PM
Ok ive had my 96 Grand Cherokee for a couple of months now and i have noticed a couple of strange noises.

1. When driving, if i take my foot off the accelerator and the car is driving against the engine if you know what i mean i can hear and feel a kind of high pitched groaning noise. This goes away once im back on the accelerator.

2. When i set off in the morning just after i pull away i hear a scraping noise. The best i can describe it is a bit like a spade being scraped across a concrete floor. it lasts about half a second and will happen twice straight way then wont happen again until i start from cold again the next day.

Also i have noticed oil dripping slightly from just rear of the starter motor is. I presume this is engine oil but should i be worried?
