Title: MOT
Post by: jeep94 on March 05, 2007, 08:02:32 PM
Jeep has just had its MOT, and one of the advisory notes reads, ‘Offside outer front drive shaft coupling is slightly worn’.

What kind of job is it to replace, and is it expensive?

Defiantly says shaft coupling on the printed certificate. Where would it be on the vehicle? Is it on the axle?

On the fail cert.it said 'offside front driveshaft coupling', asked the tester 'does that mean the uj at the wheel end?' He say 'Yes'. fixed that and now have mot :!:

It passed the MOT. This was just one of notes that was on the yellow part of the cert.

i was looking on the mud club forum and one of the green(blue) oval guys with a 110 went for an MOT only to be told it has to be mot'ed as a commical vehicle class 7 cause they've changed the weight class.

the 110 has always been classed as a commercial in regards to badged weight even though it follows a std car mot. time must have caught on and they realised the slip up
