Title: Door restrainer

Hi,

my drivers door restrainer gave up today,   closed the door heard a loud crack! opend the door  the roll pin was on the floor!  the restrainer is stuck in the door, can't  pull it out  just a inch or so showing!  Anyone had this problem?...........

Get yourself a nice strong piece of wire and attach it to the restrainer and its recepticle, open door gently and restrainer should come out, Mecano works nicely too!
Once you have the restrainer released, get yourself a suitable bolt with a plain shank on it, drop it down through the lugs on the door post and reassemble with a nut on the BOTTOM.
Don't forget to grease it all up nicely.
Now award yourself with your favourite tipple as Bob's your uncle, Fanny's your aunt and you shouldn't have had to go further than the garden shed!

Well,  that worked a treat !!  Couldn't get a nut on the 10 mm bolt i tried to use as it's to close to the bolt heads that hold the restrainer bracket on, so i reused the tapered roll pin,  I'll have to get a new one.   .......cya
