guys ..
had a problem running my 97 cherokee and seem to have found a problem in the sensor that sits in the pipe , a few inches in from the top of airbox ..
am thinking its some sort of air flow sensor ?????
the problem is that the "sensor" has snapped off ..
any ideas where i can get a replacement ??
many thanks
tony

Lighthouse Jeep. Number is in the suppliers section.

It's a mass airflow sensor part #4883 258. You might struggle with Lighthouse 'cos they don't tend to do diesel stuff. You could try the VM diesel specialist, look in the local Yelow Pages for local Bosch diesel specialists as it's probably a bosch component or you could even try a Jeep dealer as they sometimes sell parts for Cherokees.

lighthouse was a no go very helpfull tho

thanks guys , i shall continue on my quest

You might get a used one from GT 4x4. Read logo on the side of my Jeep.

I emailed last night ...
please dont tell me you have one ... just cost me a small fortune

I'm not GT. They just sponsor the Jeep. You'd need to give Adam a call.
