Title: Tow bar that dosn't stick out

I'd like to get a tow bar on my 98 ZG but not something thats going to stick out miles and eat up all the rear clearance. I'm quite happy with cutting a hole in the rear bumper.

Any suggestions?

I think there are detachable type-approved towbars for yours, but if not (and you "never" tow anything with it... :roll: ), you can get the 2" receiver hitch that go under the US Jeeps. Of course, if your Jeep was registered BEFORE August 1st, 1998, the law about type approved towbars doesn't apply to you anyway.

Motorhomes or motor caravan conversions
Any vehicle classed as a motorcycle
Vehicles not for use on public roads
In some cases personally imported vehicles can be exempt from EC94/20 depending on where in the world they were imported from.
