Gremlins in the knobs on the kj.
Heater blower dial for the fan speed, marked 0, 1, 2, 3, 4.
Switch it to 4 (for maximum blow) and it just turns off. Is that going to be an easy fix do you think? Will it just be a loose connection somewhere behind the dash?
Thanks.

sounds like the switch might be on its way out. have a see if ya can gat at the back of it and check the wires though, like you say it maybe just a loose wire.

That's unusual. Normally the 3 lower speeds fail and you end up with maximum only. Find the black/tan wire on the back of the switch assembly and short it to ground. This should make the fan run at max speed. If it does check the connection to the switch, if this is ok, the switch could be faulty. If the fan still won't run, check the black/tan connections at the resistor pack. If it all looks ok, short between the two terminals on the resistor pack with black/tan wires. If it works now, the resistor pack is probably faulty,

I've got some timeoff work in a few days - i'll have a look.
If I'm not decorating the spare room for the outlaws to stay

Did you figure out it was one of the fuses in the underhood PDC yet? The other settings are fused in the inside fuse box.

I've yet to get chance to have a proper look - but thanks Jonny.
Why don't you post up in the Introductions thread, and let everyone say "hi"
