Post by: Groove Rider on May 20, 2007, 12:13:51 PM
Hi,

The imobiliser seems to make up its own mind when its going to allow me to drive my 95 xj :?:  is this true or a myth :?

please help if you can..... I'm starting to get a bit fecked off now after waking early taking the dog for a walk and then returning to the jeep to find the imobiliser wont allow me to start the car......and sitting there like a car thief for an hour trying

Are you sure it's the immobiliser causing the problem and not something else like the park/neutral switch or the starter itself?

Groove,

Do you turn the key and nothing happens not even a click.
If so its likely to be NSS. can also cause reversing lights not to work.
Take it off clean out old grease, which goes sticky, regrease stick it back on.
did mine today in about an hour.
You can start it by slowly wiggleing the gearstick in P and N.

Darren,
