Title: Rear Ladder?

How feasible is it to mount a rear ladder to the tailgate? I have an old ladder from a Discovery, that would sit over the lip at the top, and bolt at the bottom of the tailgate. I’m hoping that it wouldn’t put too much stress on the tailgate, as when its closed, where can it go!  :-k  :-k

Ain't the tailgates on the early XJs glass fiber ?  If so, as long as you can get some big mo' fo' washers under the mounts, I reckon you'll be fine.

The only other consideration is the extra weight may be too much for the gas rams, but the only way to check is to try it.
