Title: CV halfshafts
Post by: Mike WJUK on August 07, 2007, 02:52:48 PM
Can anyone recommend where to get cv halfshafts at a reasonable price?

The boots are torn on mine and i'm led to believe that once this happens its not worth just replacing the boots as the joints get contaminated and will fail. Is this correct?

Clean 'em out and pack 'em with grease, should be ok.

you know when the cv joint has gone, they make clicking sounds when they rotate, also there is possible movement and they can feel gritty as well.
As Mike says stuff some more grease inside and put another boot on
