hi my heater seems to make a hissing noise when switched on (hot or cold) noise comes from the passenger footwell. someone had said it could be a leak from my air con .... any ideas???
-
If it's been doing it for a while it is very unlikely to be the air con, if it was all the gas would have escaped by now.
Does the heating/cooling work okay?
-
Mine does that and the aircon is fine. I just turn up the radio.
-
It's probably just the expansion valve in the A/C doing it's thing. Also check all the heater controls work as some of the bits are vacuum operated.
-
aye the heater works fine hot and cold and all controls seem too work fine too
-
if the engine is off and you switch the heater controls to the off position and to cold, do you get a pshut noise? if so it is the air actuated stuff working. mine does it.
-
yeh that sounds like mine. thatll do me not really bothered if aircon packed in as its hardly needed up hear in scotland
cheers guys
