Title: New tyres
Post by: Mike WJUK on November 10, 2007, 08:11:46 AM
Anyone know how Cooper Discoverer STT's compare to BFG mud terrains in the mud? Need some new tyres and although i like the BFG's they seem to have thin sidewalls that wear away too quickly (mainly 'cos of better half's kerb scuffing - i never do anything like that    )

both me and manda run cooper discoverer stt and are happy with em. they dont seem to be wearing bad. they feel like at's on the street and perform well off road. they seem to clear well in the mud and also the side lugs help with ruts and deeper mud. they are also hard as nails with this tri-guard thing which i think just means that the side walls are triple ply. its the same old thing with tires i think it is down to yer own personal choice cos to be honest all the muds are pretty good at what they are for nowadays. 8)

Sounds like they're worth a try, good road manners is a plus as they will be on the Jeep full time - as are the Bfg's.  :smt023

Road manners are good, even hooning around in the wet  :grinyes:
