anyone had this problem and whats the best way to fix it ??
any one good at welding ??
any suggestions guy's ??
-
Theres a rather portly gentleman that loves Special Brew and Pizzas thats a good welder, but it depends where you are in the country as to whether you can bribe him with beer tokens to help
-
well i am in glo'shire and willing to travel to get it fixed, where in the uk this mystic man that you speak of ?
and i know of a place that sells the aformentioned elixer
-
This man liveth in the olde city of Birmingham, but often found over at the Ponderosa, home of the great Dali Lama of ye olde jeeps....V8 Bubba,a stones throw from Junc 2 M5.Maybe if you grovel hard enough they may decide to grant you an audience with the Great Mig

XJ door hinges are a known problem. You can buy a new hinge from Jeep, but you'll have to take off the front fender to replace it (properly).
-
thanks tim
blimey seems a lot of work just for a door hinge !
forgive my ignorance but why do you have to remove the bumper ?
-
Misconception. A fender is not a bumper. In America, a bumper is called a bumper. A fender is what we call a wing.
-
ahh all becomes clear now ! cheers tim
-
i take it the hinge has ripped out of the door frame
-
the problem is it took jeep an awfull long time to produce a vehicle with doors and they arnt very good at it
quite right too, they are overrated!
-
i take it the hinge has ripped out of the door frame
yepp spot on v8 Bubba
and as a result the door stands proud of the bodywork
not a good look !
