Title: window switch illumination

Did the mk1 cherokees ever have or should have window switches that are illuminated?
Its driving me mad not being able to quickly unlock the doors or close the windows as i can't bloody see the switch panel.
Might have to make some mods i think!

does that then mean that with the mk2, they realised people might want to operate the windows or locks when sometimes dark and then fitted lights to the panel?

If so can it be retro fitted to a mk1?
