Hi Fellas,
Well I have started a fresh cj7 8)  8) out of my original one so it was a option to have them both fitted at the same time..whats your advice ??? and is there any pit falls?? thanks ALI

Was that the quadratrac system you were asking about the other week?
You'll have to fit the whole running gear inc the axles if it is.
Might be worth it with the 360 thrown in at the same time though.

yes this is the box i was asking about the other day..so its not such a easy option then?

It's an easy option if the whole driveline on the Quadratrac CJ was intact and functional.
You gotta swop the whole lot over ie auto box + transfer box, prop shafts, both axles (well just the rear really, but the front must have the same CWP ratio)
Does it have the low range reduction unit fitted? (this looks a bit like a land rover overdrive unit and fits in the same place, but does the oppersite)
If it aint got the reduction unit, you've only got high range, not much use as an off roader.

so far i have only found one in the uk that didnt have the low range it was standard on cjs but an option on sjs as i say i have only ever found one without but you never know :?:
