Hi guys,
I do about 70% of my driving on road and the rest on grass, fields, gravel mud and snow.
The size I think should be 225 75 r15 is this the right size for a Cherokee TD?
Or
Does anybody recommend a cheaper / better tyre I have seen some for £39 on the net but they are retread
Thanks again guys
Andy

I had 2 of these on the front of my cherry.
I can't vouch for them off road as i never got a chance to try them. they were fine on the motorway in the dry and not too much noise from them at motorway speed but not so good at displacing water. In my opinion if you do more onroading (mine was primarily a daily driver) i would look for a more road biased tyre or make sure you keep your speed way down when its wet.
see my post in general... I aquaplaned and wrote my cherry off to the tune of 10.5k. It may not have been the fault of the tyres but they are designed for mud plugging bias rather than water displacement.
Guys feel free to correct me on this if I'm way off. I'm just a bit hyper-sensitive about this issue at the moment cos i had a VERY narrow escape...

grabber at2 are an excelent tyre from past experience. i think bigs accident was just an unfortunate and unavoidable situation rather than a tyre problem. somtimes these things happen. i would say to avoid the retreads as you wont get the milage out of em and make sure what ever you buy have as a set.

i went for the grabbers cos i'd heard good things about them and to be perfectly honest the general road holding was a bit more sure footed than the previous tyres.
can't speak for their performance offroad though :!:
