Ok then folks,

KD has worked some magic with TOR  :applaudit:  and we need to get this sorted ASAP.

This is what KD wrote in 'general':
"I have just spoken at length to Tim Gibson from TOR & come up with the following.....

TOR is starting a regular club feature in september & they want US to feature greatly. They want to come to our July pubmeet, do a photoshoot, talk to our members (thats you lot), spotlight on a few modded Jeeps & give us some publicity for Cheapfest, as well as the laning feature previously mentioned.

So, we need as many Jeeps in all stages of mod as possible to attend the July pubmeet. I am going to be drawing up a list of all who want to attend so please let me know. And for gods sake can we sort a venue very soon as I am going to have to let them know where it is!!! Last weeks pubmeet location was perfect so somewhere similar would be ideal, big carpark, nice garden etc...... " (KD)


Can everyone who wants to be a part of this make the Holt Fleet??

that is great news kd well done mate. we can take both jeeps wherever. the meet at the holt fleet was cool and it is a good venue for a few of us to get together as the carpark is of a good size. 8)  lets get it sorted guyz and show em what birtys is all about. 8)

Would love to come, but no way could I face 4+ hours in the wrangler :( I'd be deaf......

Definitely the Holt Fleet at Ombersley again, fill the carpark with Jeeps in all shapes & sizes, take over the beer garden & chat to TOR. I need to confirm this to TOR as well as the time............

Spoke to Tim Gibson today & he has confirmed that he will definitely be there with a photographer. I will be meeting him earlier in the day so he can follow the Worcester posse to the Holt Fleet! Is it worth contacting the pub to make sure they are cool with this amount of Jeeps? They might have a huge wedding on & the carpark might already be full when we get there???

I already spoke to the Holt Fleet. There is a large evening meal going on and we can't cordon the car park, it's first come first served but they have no problem with us.

We were obviously too quiet last time - the chap I spoke to didn't remember us!!

I think that Bubba meant that having been in Birtys from the very first day,it will be such a shame not to have his beloved Scrambler taking part in the line up just as the club gets some well deserved attention from the offroad mags,and not being elitist at all,and anyway like Greggmo said everything has a start point and the people that make the start,why even America has its "Founding Fathers" as they called  them.The trouble with the written word,is that there is no emotion and no stresses on certain syllables so sentences or words can come across as being totally different to how they were meant,like iif i called Greggmo a "Fat Dastard" with a smile,then he`d probably laugh ,but if i called him a "Fat Dastard" without the smile then he wouldnt know if i was serious or not and possibly take offence.Trouble with words in black and white is there are too many grey areas :?  :?  :?  :?

realy lookin forward to this one. i think the birtys do deserve some press. everyone has worked to get birtys on its feet and look what it,s become. i am still so glad that through the vehicle i drive i have found such a great bunch of folks. i think jeep is almost a religion to some of us and that shows in the way we all muck in together. 8)
