A TJ's alternator is externaly regulated.
That said how does the mean green alternator with internal regulater that is a so called straight swap work with the regulater in the engine management computer?

Do you have to disable the on board computer one or do they work in harmony?
Or would this be a better choice?

I ask because I have some credit to use up with 4wd.com and need an alternator. I ordered a 140 amp powermaster one but have had communication to say that although the web site said it would fit a 97TJ it does not. That leaves the 2 above models to choose from apart from a crown oem model they have that is 60/90amps. Its a shame because my credit did cover the cost of the original but now the cost has more than doubled! 8)
