Title: 2nd Battery on a YJ
Post by: Ian Houghton on February 25, 2008, 09:30:09 AM
HI,

I'm thinking of installing a second battery on my YJ 2.5 94,

the only place under the bonnet seems to be under the exising battery, has anyone done this or is there a better place,

Cheers Ian

Hi Ian ,  i seem to remember  they do a tray for this very thing  8-) then it was very easy to feed the  cables to the winch ,  a split charge relay under the hood and job done .
Its been  well used over the last year and no probs at all .

When it warms up outside, i have 2 or three Optimas i got for free that i plan on adding to the YJ. Make my own rack though.

my second battery is in the back of the jeep but i have no rear seats. there are dual battery trays available from 4wd or quadratech for not much money.
