What do you mean about jet/steam washing?

Jet washing is OK even under the bonnet providing you stay clear of the electric bits and its not some form of turbo nutter truck jet wash

As for steam washing one is not familiar with such a concept..

Done my ZJ under the bonnet with a jet wash a few times, never had a problem. I've got a diesel so not so many leccy bits to worry about. I reckon you'd be fine if you took it easy. If its oil/grime to clear away use some hyper clean first to help loosen it

Your Jeep is a car that happens to have 4 wheel drive. There's really nothing special about it as far as cleaning it, servicing it etc go.
Feel free to steam clean the engine, but jet washing IMO is only useful for getting serious mud off.

If you don't go offroad, then use a bucket and sponge, then wax it.

i have a jet washer but all it does is move the road crud around. use a bucket and sponge on body work, and leave the jet washer for getting rid of the mud

Thanks everyone.

It's only the engine i'm talking about, i always hand wash and autoglym the body.
