so far we have fitted the rustys 4.5 lift, new tranny skid's, safari snorkel. today we started the box section sills. chopped out one side, cleaned up what was there and placed in the new 100x100 box section in. even before it is fully welded you can lift the jeep with the hi lift jack under the sill with no bother. there will be a proper write up when we have done it all and we have taken photos from the start. it is nice to work on peoples jeeps for them cos you get to see the progress from almost stock to well kitted jeep. just hope ted is happy with the 12inch roof chop

Ted, they done a right good job, sprayed it for you too.

Good job Ted hasn't got internet access at the moment

Yep, would be terrible if he saw what they did to his Jeep.
First of all they took it for a test drive to make sure all was in order....

Then after they'd er... re-profiled the tyres, time to fit the lift and test it's off-road prowess....

Then a bit of rock crawling. Got a bit stuck.....

Soon got free though and tested the springs out...

All is well now though, and Ted is the proud owner of a nice blue XJ pickup!

(Bit of background - Ted left his XJ with Lardy and Cooter to fit a lift, snorkel and box the sills - they've been winding him up ever since).

-
Capped at each end and now painted black , just waiting for some time to finish other bits then be ready. ted

Winch mount arrived now , so just getting time to sort out and fit then it will be ready. Mother in laws has had to come first as well as the cash flow. What the hell it will be sorted for Cheaopfest ...
