Right noticed tonight that my steering box has sprung a leak from the input shaft seal strange i know it's normally the output one that leaks.Has anyone got a spare or know where i can get one please???

try lighthouse...

If you get stuck I have a spare steering box that has a knackered output seal, i think the input is ok.
Ive just changed the complete box for one pinched off an xj..
I'm not sure how the seal comes out but i can have a look tomorrow or you can have the whole box and take the seal out yourself..
The problem is I am a good 3hr drive from you..

Asylum got his input seals from Lighthouse. Not cheap though  )

thanks for that i got out already without removing the box and had a tray ready to catch the pas fluid. The seal looks to be in good shape no splits or damage, found a few places in the states but they won't post over here
quadratec don't keep it.May try my local jeep dealer in the morning and prepare for some arse ache.

Moved to Tech for you

You could ask quadratec if they would forward the item from another supplier in the US. Kevin's offroad offer this service for items that he can't do himself.
They'll obviously want a service charge if you're not buying anything else at the same time but it may still be cheaper.

thanks for all the suggestions, i called my local main stealer today and that was a waste of time :-D

I've just replaced this seal and O ring on my TJ. I got a seal kit from Lighthouse for @ £12 + postage
