Had my Jeep two weeks and need to know how big I can go on standard alloys. I have alloys with " Jeep " cast into them and they have 225/70 R16 rubber fitted. I will be raising it 2.5 inch with new leaf springs.
I don't need massive tyres but it looks a bit low as it is. I like the alloys and can't afford to change-um anyway.
Any help much appreciated !!!!

My Jeep is a 1994 4lt Wrangler, auto box.

this is just a guess, but as long as you dont go much if any wider in the tire, you should be able to go as big as you want really. the width of the width is its only limiting factor i know of.

Thanks everybody. I was bit worried I could not have big rubber without spending out on new wheeles.
Will they fit (not foul arches) before I get the springs done !
Thanks again

Hi Longman,
I recently fitted 31x10.5x15 BFG A/T tyres on Pro Comp alloys and i've had no problems but, did notice a bit of difference in the gearing due to the bigger tyres. Got use to it now though.
