I have just seen how much people are charging for stainless braid brake hoses for Jeeps
Can someone with a TJ please go and measure their brake hoses for me :!:  for all 3 including new clips / fixings.
So can someone with a TJ ( I can do my own XJ ) or any other Jeep model go and measure their hoses from the middle of the banjo bolt to the point where the steel pipe screws in, front and rear.
Armed with the lengths of std hoses I can then make up any length for lifts etc that anyone might want.
And of course a discount price for Birty members
Many thanks

off topic.... just sent you an email about some stuff on you site.

you will have a problem with the rear as it has an axle block/breather at the end, i'm sure also they have a unf thread..

Quite right 3/8"unf concvex seat.... standard -3jic fitting.
The rear axle / breather t-piece is not a problem, I have a large box of them on the way..... 8-)

I already have matched the end fittings from stock or ordered in, so it is just the length I am after....if you could just post the overall length of it and ay whether it is a standard or +4" for example I can make up a spec sheet and keep a record
Many thanks
David
PS Just out of interest a diameter of the hose would be interesting to know

A 1.5" lift which is coil spacers and shocks only about £ 250
A 4" which is way more involved with new springs, adjustable control arms, links etc. This is a very comprehensive kit. It is nearer to £550
Hope that answers your questions

as with all braided hoses, those is the cheap item and the cost is in the fittings at each end. used to work ing a development braking dept at a research association and all brake hoses were made special for the sensor kit involved, so the hose was bought on the reel then the fittings were sepereate. it just makes me laugh at how much people charge for this stuff especially kits for vehicles.

yup. it would be cool if David can do em at a sensible price.

Total pants- and expensive ones too. I am guessing the reason that most Jeeps seem to be on the old rubber ones whilstv almost every LR or Suzuki I sell stuff to uses stainless is that to buy them for a jeep has always been very dear for a product that you have to bodge to fit!!
