98 Cherokee - 4.0Limited.
The drivers door controls for the other elec windows are working fine, but the switches on the doors themselves are not responding (is this a similar problem to the Grand Cherokee door computer?). The green tell-tale lights are on in the switches until you try to use them, then the lights go out.
Cheers

try it, will take a couple of minutes

Other than the radio are then any issues with anything else (the immobiliser?) to worry about from disconnecting the battery?

nope, might have to press the button a couple of times

The cherokee doesn't have a computer in the door so don't bother. Sounds like a broken wire. I take it the master switch for the other doors is switched to on on the driver door?

I've got a 97 2.5td Cherokee that soes the same and I have found a way to cure it even though I don't know how it works, why it works or at first, until I had done it a few times, whether it works or not...
Every couple of weeks the windows stop working from the individual doors but still work from the driver's doors.
If you then open the drivers window and as you are putting it back up try one of the other windows from its own door then it all comes back to life and all works fine - until they stop again a few weeks later. The same action fixes it every time so I haven't bothered looking for the real fault.
Try that as it works on mine - otherwise start to look for the electricl needle in the wiring loom haystack :-?

sounds like the main earth in the wiring to the doos is faulty
